The New Artist

Art by robots, for robots. The New Artist explores the relationship between creator and audience in the form of two robots: a hopping performer and a critical spectator. I collaborated on this piece with artist Axel Straschnoy and fellow roboticists at Carnegie Mellon University (Paul Scerri, Garth Zeglin, Ben Brown, Iheanyi Umez-Eronini, Sue Ann Hong, and Geoff Gordon).

The New Artist has been exhibited at Finland’s Kerava Art Museum (for Pixelache) and at Norway’s Kunstnernes Hus.
